IV. The Dead

"These hearts were woven of human joys and cares,
Washed marvelously with sorrow, swift to mirth.
The years had given them kindness. Dawn was theirs,
And sunset, and the colours of the earth.
These had seen movement, and heard music; known
Slumber and waking; loved; gone proudly friended;
Felt the quick stir of wonder; sat alone;
Touched flowers and furs and cheeks. All this is
ended.

There are waters blown by changing winds to laughter
And lit by the rich skies, all day. And after,
Frost, with a gesture, stays the waves that dance
And wandering loveliness. He leaves a white
Unbroken glory, a gathered radiance,
A width, a shining peace, under the night."
-Rupert Brooke

I thought to share this poem with you today, because I found it in the midst of my cleaning. ^-^

A wise person once told me, always keep the faith.

Sometimes life is a struggle… but remember you’re not the only one. This verse is just something I reflected on today. I wanted to share it with you because it is a reminder that while we face many hardships in life, we need to keep trying. We need to have faith in ourselves and in the good of this world that we live in. If we keep the faith, there will be something to look forward to.

“…the woods are lovely dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.”
-Robert Frost
