Larmes d'un ange...

So guys, I wrote a poem ages ago and used it as part of my HSC piece for music so no copying okay? I just wanted to share this with you all (whoever reads my blog) because I rediscovered this amongst all my old stuff and though why not? Hope you enjoy :)

"Tears of an Angel..."

Sweet, sweet tears
spawned from the eyes of an angel
they fall, lingering in the atmosphere
moments before disappearing
into the Earth.

Sweet, yet bitter
tears of pain, sadness, grief;
of warmth, hope and happiness too;
Angel’s tears, I call them.

Blessed tears,
dewy droplets, falling, leaking,
slipping through heaven’s grasp
–they touch the ground, embracing its Earthly warmth;
they whisper as they fall, murmuring spells
and incantations of healing.

Those tears,
they are the sign that we are not forgotten,
not alone in this world.

Angel’s tears–
they give me infinite hope.

IV. The Dead

"These hearts were woven of human joys and cares,
Washed marvelously with sorrow, swift to mirth.
The years had given them kindness. Dawn was theirs,
And sunset, and the colours of the earth.
These had seen movement, and heard music; known
Slumber and waking; loved; gone proudly friended;
Felt the quick stir of wonder; sat alone;
Touched flowers and furs and cheeks. All this is
ended.

There are waters blown by changing winds to laughter
And lit by the rich skies, all day. And after,
Frost, with a gesture, stays the waves that dance
And wandering loveliness. He leaves a white
Unbroken glory, a gathered radiance,
A width, a shining peace, under the night."
-Rupert Brooke

I thought to share this poem with you today, because I found it in the midst of my cleaning. ^-^

A wise person once told me, always keep the faith.

Sometimes life is a struggle… but remember you’re not the only one. This verse is just something I reflected on today. I wanted to share it with you because it is a reminder that while we face many hardships in life, we need to keep trying. We need to have faith in ourselves and in the good of this world that we live in. If we keep the faith, there will be something to look forward to.

“…the woods are lovely dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.”
-Robert Frost
goodnight my lovelies,

Love. The musings of a girl.

"I love you."

Those words seem to be thrown around too easily. I recently feel that society has lost the true meaning of love and what it entails. What does it mean to you? Sometimes we forget the distinction between loving and being in love. I hear people say "I love you" to their partners in public, after say, dating for two weeks and I think... is that really what you mean? or do you just care about them? Personally I believe that people should consider this more. Don't say it just to comfort someone or 'return the favour' as they say. Mean it.

"In English, love refers to a variety of different feelings, states, and attitudes, ranging from pleasure ("I loved that meal") to interpersonal attraction ("I love my partner"). "Love" may refer specifically to the passionate desire and intimacy of romantic love, to the sexual love of eros, to the emotional closeness of familial love, to the platonic love that defines friendship, or to the profound oneness or devotion of religious love, or to a concept of love that encompasses all of those feelings. This diversity of uses and meanings, combined with the complexity of the feelings involved, makes love unusually difficult to consistently define, compared to other emotional states."

To me, love is supposed to be a pure and raw feeling. Something so special that requires time and maturity to develop. Yes, there are many different ways of loving someone -the bond of family and friends. But of course there is the love between two people; connecting with someone on another level, a happiness that knows no bounds. That, to me, is a rare occurrence in life.

So that's what I wanted to say today. It's been sitting on my mind for a while and I promise I'll update sooner rather than later. I have much more to say so I'll definitely be back soon :)

Tumblr ...amongst other business.

A poem I found on Tumblr...

Glistening.
Beyond the glass
I seek bright lit stars,
hoping they will show me
that these hard times have passed;

but tonight

it is only the raindrops that glisten,
bright upon the window pane.
Sometimes a stream trickles down -
a shooting star: a fleeting hope,
passing me by
like the hopes of a sunnier day.

Yes, so I finally got Tumblr. I've been out and about a lot which is why my blog posts aren't so frequent anymore. ^-^

My Tumblr blog: http://thelasttwistoftheknife.tumblr.com/

Anyway, I hope everyone's had a wonderful Holiday and for those going back to school tomorrow, sucked in! ....................haha I kid. You can tell I've been enjoying the life of a post (high school) grad student. :P

The Philosophy of Ambiguity.

Hey guys,

I'm finally back! Yeah, I know I need to do one of the New Years Resolution Blog Posts... but since I haven't prepared one yet, I decided to show you one of those random-but-sorta-funny emails I got recently. xD

1. Don't sweat the petty things and don't pet the sweaty things.

2. One tequila, two tequila, three tequila, floor... (this one kinda reminds me of someone *coughcallycough*) xD

3. Atheism is a non-prophet organisation.

4. If man evolved from monkeys and apes, why do we still have monkeys and apes?

5. I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman, "Where's the self-help section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

6. What if there were no hypothetical questions?

7. If someone with multiple personalities threatens to kill himself, is it considered a hostage situation?

8. Is there another word for synonym?

9. What do you do when you see an endangered animal eating an endangered plant?

10. Would a fly without wings be called a walk?

11. Why do they lock petrol stations bathrooms? Are they afraid someone will clean them?

12. If the police arrest a mime, do they tell him he has the right to remain silent?

13. How is it possible to have a civil war?

14. If you try to fail and succeed, which have you done?

15. Whose cruel idea was it to have an 's' in the word 'lisp'?

16. Why is it called tourist season if we can't shoot at them?

I did leave out a couple that didn't seem to be appropriate or were simply too lame to make an appearance on my blog. xD

Anyhow, I will post again on my resolutions for 2013 and what-not but for now...

Au revoir,
