Bringing out the old memories...

Hola! xD

(not like that's not cheesy or anything.)

Right. Moving on.
I've decided that I'm going to have a theme for my blog posts every now and then. As you can probably infer from the title of this post, my theme is based on "old memories" and perhaps vintage as well. I'm in a creative mood today, so, as per usual this post will be random  -just a heads up for those who are new to my blog.

And hey, while I'm at it, I might just throw in a quote that I like. Just 'cause.

I found an interesting picture, which caught my attention the other day...and I'm still trying to figure out exactly what it depicts. It looks like a cross between match-sticks with fire and a branch/twig with water on it -and it's the sun reflecting off it. Either way, I thought it was pretty. :)

And since I don't have too much time for this post, I'm going to have to cut it somewhat short. Soz guys, Year 12 is like that. heh.

Anyhow, the quote I chose today is:

" I saw it glitter as I grew ,
and love did what I never knew ,
I thought this place was heaven sent
but now its just a monument"

And if someone could tell me who actually quoted it, I'd be very thankful. :P

Jar of hearts by Christina Perri

~Just thought I'd share this with you today...<3

"I know I can't take one more step towards you
Cause all that's waiting is regret
And don't you know I'm not your ghost anymore?
You lost the love I loved the most

I learned to live, half-alive
And now you want me one more time

And who do you think you are?
Runnin' 'round leaving scars
Collecting your jar of hearts
And tearing love apart

You're gonna catch a cold
From the ice inside your soul
So don't come back for me
Who do you think you are?

I hear you're asking all around
If I am anywhere to be found
I have grown too strong
To ever fall back in your arms

I've learned to live, half-alive
Now you want me one more time

Who do you think you are?
Runnin' 'round leaving scars
Collecting your jar of hearts
And tearing love apart

You're gonna catch a cold
From the ice inside your soul
So don't come back for me
Who do you think you are?

Dear, it took so long
Just to feel alright
Remember how to put back
The light in my eyes

I wish I had missed
The first time that we kissed
'Cause you broke all your promises
And now you're back you don't get to get me back

Who do you think you are?
Runnin' 'round leaving scars
Collecting your jar of hearts
And tearing love apart

You're gonna catch a cold
From the ice inside your soul
So don't come back for me
Don't come back at all

And who do you think you are?
Runnin' 'round leaving scars
Collecting your jar of hearts
And tearing love apart

You're gonna catch a cold
From the ice inside your soul
Don't come back for me
Don't come back at all

Who do you think you are?
Who do you think you are?
Who do you think you are?"

Pandora's Box

Hey guys,

I've just heard people referring to "Pandora's Box" lately and thought to look it up. So here is what I found out (courtesy of Wikipedia):

"Pandora's Box is an artifact in Greek mythology, taken from the myth of Pandora's creation in Hesiod's Works and Days. The "box" was actually a large jar given to Pandora (Πανδώρα ="all-gifted", "all-giving"), which contained all the evils of the world. When Pandora opened the jar, all its contents except for one item were released into the world. The one remaining item was Hope. Today, to open Pandora's box means to create evil that cannot be undone.

In classical Greek mythology, Pandora was the first woman on Earth. Zeus ordered Hephaestus, the God of craftsmanship, to create her, so he did—using water and Earth. The gods endowed her with many gifts: Athena clothed her, Aphrodite gave her beauty, and Hermes speech.

When Prometheus stole fire from heaven, Zeus took vengeance by presenting Pandora to Epimetheus, Prometheus' brother. With her, Pandora was given a beautiful container which she was not to open under any circumstance. Impelled by her curiosity given to her by the gods, Pandora opened it, and all evil contained therein escaped and spread over the earth.

She hastened to close the container, but the whole contents had escaped, except for one thing that lay at the bottom, which was Hope. Pandora was deeply saddened by what she had done, and was afraid that she would have to face Zeus' wrath, since she had failed her duty; however, Zeus did not punish her, because he knew this would happen. "

I also found some pictures depicting the myth of Pandora's Box:

So I hoped you found this interesting and feel free to comment whenever you like... and I will try to find a C-box on the blog eventually. Everyone tells me it is easier.

Until next time~
